RACE AGAINST DEMENTIA

Throughout the month of August 2019, we hosted a series of 2-hour endurance races at Larkhall Circuit to raise funds for Race Against Dementia, a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart, after his wife Lady Helen was diagnosed with the condition.

The endurance races raised funds in support of Race Against Dementia’s Fellowship Programme, which funds cutting-edge, early career scientists. Run in collaboration with Alzheimer’s Research UK, the Fellowship programme actively seeks out young scientists with innovative research proposals, supporting efforts to tackle new approaches to better understanding, treatment, and prevention of the diseases underlying dementia.

Motorsport stars including Lando Norris, George Russell, Alexander Albon, Paul di Resta, Dario Franchitti, David Coulthard and Damon Hill were among those who attended the launch event at Larkhall Circuit.
